Day 75th COVID-19 Updates of India’s fight against Coronavirus

New Delhi (ABC Live India): Day 75th COVID-19 Updates: Today was the 75th day of India’s fight against Coronavirus.

On 07/06/2020 the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that till there are 120406 Active Cases, 119292  patients have been cured and 6929deaths were reported from across the India.

The ICMR stated that India conducted 46,66,386 tests 06/06/2020, and 1,42,069samples were taken today.

The Government of India on 07/06/2020 taken following actions;

  1. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued COVID-19 Updates of 06/06/2020
  2. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued strategies for containment and management of COVID-19
  3. The ICMR issued status report on COVID-19 tests of 06/06/2020
  4. The Ministry of Science & Technology stated that Scientists at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, an autonomous institute of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India, have developed an artificial intelligence (AI) based algorithms as an aid to rapid diagnosis and prediction of oral squamous cell carcinoma.
  5. The Ministry of Defence stated that INS Jalashwa, deployed by the Indian Navy for “Operation SamudraSetu”, entered Tuticorinharbour with 700 Indian nationals evacuated from Male, Maldvies on 07 June 2020. Thus far INS Jalashwa has evacuated 2672 Indian citizens from Maldives and Sri Lanka to India as part of Vande Bharat Mission.
  6. The Ministry of Defence stated that As part of Mission Sagar, Indian Naval Ship Kesari entered Port Victoria, Seychelles, on 07 June 2020. The Government of India in these difficult times is providing assistance to Friendly Foreign Countries in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and towards the same INS Kesari is carrying a consignment of COVID related essential medicines for the people of Seychelles.
  7. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions Launched COVID BEEP, India’s first indigenous, cost effective, wireless physiological parameters monitoring system for COVID-19 patients
  8. The Ministry of Culture stated that Ministry has approved opening of 820 centrally protected monuments under the Archeological Survey of India which have places of worship from 8th June, 2020
  9. The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution stated that Since the lockdown was announced on March 24, 2020 about 111.02 LMT food grains have been lifted and transported through 3965 rail rakes. Apart from the rail route, transportation was also done through roads and waterways. A total of 234.51 LMT has been transported. 15,500 MT grains was transported through 13 ships. Total 11.30 LMT food grains have been transported to the North-Eastern States. Under the NFSA and PMGKAY, for next 3 months total 11.5 LMT food grain is required in NE States.
