New Delhi (ABC Live India): Day 126 COVID-19 Updates: Today was the 126 day of India’s Fight against Coronavirus.ABC Research Report.

As per the Ministry of Health and Family welfare till 9 AM of 28/07/2020 there are 496988 active cases, 952743 COVID-19 have been recovered and 33425 persons lost their lives in India till 9 AM of 28/07/2020.

On testing capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 28/07/2020 confirmed that total 1,73,34,885 tests have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 27/07/2020. Further the ICMR reported that 5,28,082 new samples were taken during last 24 hours.

The Following is the List of Actions/ announcements made by Government of India along with Updates from Indian Courts of law, NHRC, RBI, SEBI, TRAI & IRDA on 28/07/2020;

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that PM Modi will join stakeholders from Banks and NBFCs to discuss and deliberate on vision and roadmap for the future tomorrow evening.The topics on agenda include credit products & efficient models for delivery, financial empowerment through technology, prudential practices for stability and sustainability of financial sector.

  8. The AYUSH stated that working of  the COVID-19 Health Centre (CHC) at All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Sarita Vihar, New Delhi was reviewed.

The Ministry of Science & Technology stated that The Centre for Augmenting WAR with COVID-19 Health Crisis (CAWACH), an initiative by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), has selected Bangalore based startup Acculi Labs to develop a COVID risk assessment profile called Lyfas COVID score. Acculi Labs is armed with ‘Lyfas’ a clinical-grade, non-invasive, digital functional biomarker smartphone tool for screening, early detection, root cause analysis, acute event risk assessment, prognosis, and home monitoring of chronic diseases which they have repurposed to Lyfas COVID score.
  10. The Ministry of Finance stated that Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman attended the 5th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) through video conference in New Delhi today.  Smt. Sitharaman was identified as a Lead Speaker at the roundtable discussion. In her intervention, Smt. Sitharaman appreciated AIIB’s efforts for fast tracking financial assistance of about $10 Billion to its member countries including India to combat COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Railways stated that on mission mode, Indian Railways achieved a significant milestone of pulling freight traffic ahead of last year’s level inspite of COVID 19 related challenges. On 27 July 2020 the freight loading was 3.13 MT which is higher than last year for the same date.

The total allocation for PMGKAY II from July to November 2020 is 200.19 LMT (91.33 LMT Wheat and 109.96 LMT rice).
