'Dharamsala' Capital in Exile Turns Hostile for Tibetans

The City in Indian state of Himachal Pradesh “Dharmasala” serves as exile capital of Tibetan government in exile. Its geographical proximity with Tibet makes it natural place for Tibet’s people residing in India

On Monday their natural place turned hostile when thousands of Tibetans people along with their Indian supporters tried to march towards Tibet border and forcefully stopped by Indian police.

This march was organized by local Tibetans anniversary of the National Uprising Day against Chinese 'occupation' of their country.

The Police used tear gas and melt force to keep marchers under control.

The District chief of police told ABC live that they have already convey to Tibetan Marchers not to leave district otherwise police will take all necessary actions.

Dalai Lama the spiritual Guru of Tibetan addressed participants of March before it started. A prayer meeting was also held for all those who are participating in March to Tibet.

Tenzin Tchoying, President, of Free Tibet Students shared with ABC Live Local Correspondent Rakesh Negi that young Tibetan are fully supporting this march and he along with hundreds students is going to take active part in this action on National Uprising Day.

It is to mention here that majority of Tibetans on exile after Chinese occupations in 1959 reside in India and Nepal.

But this Indian actions in their capital in exile has some serious indication to Dalai Lama that they exile kingdom in hilly state of Himachal Pradesh is soon going to be a tough place to live under present Indo Sino relations.
