Opposition ‘Balloons’ Governor’s Address In UP Assembly

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (ABCLive) – Opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh assembly on Friday disrupted Governor T.V.Rajeswar’s address by showing black placards and balloons. He was addressing joint sitting of both houses in opening of budget session.

SP MLAs Bust Balloons  

As governor walked towards podium to give his speech,  Samajwadi Party MLAs stood on their place and began to show black flags and balloons demanding action against accused in Mukesh Yadav murder case. Mukesh Yadav, an engineer student was killed in police firing in Saifai, home town of Mulayam Singh, last month.

 

Accusing SP for breaching security of house, a distraught CM Mayawati said that it was serious intelligence failure. 

Congress Joins SP   

Congress MLAs joined their Samajwadi Party counterparts in protest and raised Bundelkhand drought issue.

 

Governor Blames Center  

Although opposition didn’t allow governor to complete his 92-page address, the governor blamed Union government for not cooperating with state. He blamed Centre for lack of development in the state.
