Guwahati (ABC Live):Janaki Ballabh Patnaik was sworn in as Assam Governor on Friday in Raj Bhavan in Guwahati.

Guwahati (ABC Live):Janaki Ballabh Patnaik was sworn in as Assam Governor on Friday in Raj Bhavan in Guwahati.

The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Gauhati High Court Chief Justice J Chelameswar.

Patnaik had served as Orissa chief minister (Congress) for two terms and was appointed Assam governor after the term of the outgoing governor Syed Sibtey Razi expired this month.
