Jaipur (ABC Live):The Gujjars in Rajasthan found new supporter when BSP chief and utter Pradesh chief minister Ms Mayawati supported their demand to inclusion in Schedule tribe list in political rally in Jaipur.

Addressing rally she said Gujars should be included in Schedule tribe list as their as agitation over this issue for last one year where as the Vasundhara Raje led BJP government failed to respond to their call .

The Meena community which is in schedule Tribes list is opposing the move as new inclusion will hamper their chances in reserve privileges provided under Indian constitution.

The Meena and Gujjars hold the considerable vote banks in state political arena thus Bhartiya Janta party is avoiding taking side of one at the cast of other.

Thus all Political in sates are trying to woo grouped Gujjars over reservation issue under Col Kirodi Singh Bainsla a newly immerged Gujjjar clan leader.

Mayawati is eying on next parliamentary elections and in no loss position because her main area of concern is schedule castes which will not harm due ti Gujjars in Reservation list, but also provides her new constituency in Schedule Tribe s if Gujjars would able to get status of ST
