The actions of police has come under question on Wednesday night when the doctor who has conducted Keeling’s first autopsy told media that his findings in first report were ignored by police while deciding the case which indicated the possibility of some extra elements in the cause of death apart from drowning.

As police has arrested Placido Carvalho on Wednesday and charged him under section 302 of Indian penal Code.the police could able to arrest him after rejection of anticipatory bail by Local Court.

Earlier to the arrest of Placido Carvalho the bar tender on Anjuna beach Samson D'Souza was arrested by police as both were last seen with Keeling night on February 18.

Placido Carvalho, whose anticipatory bail was rejected by district and sessions court on Wednesday, was arrested and charged with murder (section 302 of IPC) of 15-year-old Scarlett Keeling, sources in the police said.

Carvalho's arrest came almost 48 hours after Samson D'Souza, a 29-year-old bartender at a shack on Anjuna beach, was nabbed on the charge of raping Scarlett, a few hours before her semi-nude body was found on popular Anjuna beach on February 18.

Bosco George, District Police Chief told ABC Live that police is questioning Michael Manyon, a British tourist is the one of persons who has seen Scarlett last time before her death.
