Chennai (ABC Live): Nalini, one of the killers of Rajiv Gandhi has asked for Mercy through her petition flied in Madras High Court which will be heard on Tuesday.

Chennai (ABC Live): Nalini, one of the killers of Rajiv Gandhi has asked for Mercy through her petition flied in Madras High Court which will be heard on Tuesday.

She has stated her good behavior and conduct in jail for past 17 years where Nalini is undergoing life imprisonment punishment.

It is to remember that Nalini Sriharan was one of seven persons convicted for murder of India’s former Prime Minister on 21 May 1991 at Sriperumbudur and got death sentence but later converted into Life imprisonment due to her motherhood where as her husband Murugan is facing death sentence in the same case.

She has filed the early release petition after Tamil Nadu Government has rejected her petition nearly six month ago but much publicized Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Meet on March 19 this year has encouraged her to go for another chance for freedom from Vellore jail where she has passed her last 17 years.
