Nitish Kumar Gets Head Injury From Nalanda

Nalanda is the Sanskrit name for "giver of knowledge". World fame ancient Nalanda University stands exemplary even today for education centre world wide, which existed until 1197 AD, where students and scholars studied for higher studies from Korea, Japan, China, Tibet, Indonesia, Persia and Turkey apart from India.

Patna (ABC Live): The Land is considered mother for average Indian, infringement with this relation always bring trouble for intruder. In Nandigram (West Bengal), the communists’ leaders tested it where farmers surrendered their lives to save their land.

Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar seems that has not learnt it well in spite of heading the state, where more than 80 percent population still depends on agriculture for their survival.

Nitish Kumar on Friday tested bitter lesson when at Pilkhi village in Nalanda district faced local farmer’s anger over acquisition their land for Nalanda International University. The farmers were so disturbed on the issue that they thrown stones on him when he was in village with former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Kalam to see the proposed land for international university.

In this stones throwing Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar suffered injuries on head while Dr. Kalam did not received any injury.The local farmers were demanding better rehabilitation package for them in compensation for their land.

When ABC Live asked Chief Minister about incident, he asserted that he will keep his efforts to develop Nalanda even he died in this process.

Mentioned worthy is idea to establish an international university at Nalanda was first dream by Former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the dream took shape under University of Nalanda Act, 2007.

Anjani Kumar Singh the senior IAS officer in HRD department in Bihar Government told ABC Live that Kalam attended first board meeting of proposed Nalanda university at 1 Anne Marg, the official residence of the chief minister.
