New Delhi (ABC Live): The Indian government has revised the schedule of Kailash-Mansarovar yatra after Chinese authorities expressed their inability to accept pilgrims until June 21.
The official spokesperson of Indian external affairs told ABC Live in New Delhi that china has expressed its inability to receive Indian pilgrims before June 21, because of its domestic reasons.
The Tibet remained the bane of Chinese decision to deny Hindu religious journey to keep any possibility of disruption during Olympic torch relay in Tibet between June 19 and June 21.
It is to mention here that Mount Kailash and Mansarovar are situated in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
On Indian side Government has curtailed the size and way of yatra when it decided to club in all batches into one batch which will start its journey from New Delhi on June 13 and enter in Chinese territory only after June 21.
The sudden change in Chinese stand on Hindu Yatra surprised all those who are concerned with this Yatra preparation because India’s recent open support on Olympic torch relay to China.
