Islamabad, Pakistan (ABCLive) – The Scotland Yard report on the assassination of former Prime Minister and Pakistan People’s Party President Benazir Bhutto agreed with Pakistan government’s theory that Bhutto had not died of bullet injuries.

Blast Killed Bhutto

The report claimed that Bhutto died of wound which she had sustained due to bomb blast near her car. The report was released by Pakistan government and British High Commission on Friday.

“She died as a result of a severe head injury sustained as a consequence of the bomb-blast and due to head impact somewhere in the escape hatch of the vehicle,” the report says quoting a British Home Department’s pathologist.

PPP Rejected Report

Rejecting conclusion of much-talked inquiry, Benazir’s Pakistan People’s Party renewed its demand of an UN investigation into assassination.

“She died from a bullet injury not from blast impact wound,” says party spokesperson rejecting report.
